Norah takes a little rest while watching her favourite stories - right now it's Dora the Explorer (with Mariana the Mermaid) and Max and Ruby...
The next day we were off to the playground after Norah picked some peas she and Grampie planted earlier in the summer - her magic key to start the car was an empty pea-pod ...
After getting all of the sand off in the water she had to get back in the sandbox and this is a true summer picture complete with sandy feet and a flower she picked up between her toes...
She was "King of the Castle" on the rock ...
After a trip to Tim's for some juice and a carrot muffin she was off for a nap before heading to the "Teddy Bear Picnic" complete with Pirates and all - as part of Porters Lake "Lake 'N Shore Days".
After Mommy (Lindsay) joined us we had a big supper of sliders and headed out to pick some blackberries right in our front yard. Norah loved them but ate a lot more than she picked.
Swinging on the lowest branch of the oak tree was the next thing to do ...
And then of course a quick trip to the "Dragon Cave" down behind our garden shed ...
Only one small mishap when she fell on the driveway while running. You can see the band aids on her knees ...
... and then after some yogurt - it was time to head home to see Daddy - All in all a fun filled day at Grammie and Grampies.
July 29th visit:
Our other beautiful Granddaughter Adeline Josephine ("AJ" to Grampie) was here two weeks ago and had her first taste of solid food at 6 months of age.
... but then found out it wasn't all it was cracked up to be ... but then Sarah discovered she liked the taste of another brand - and now she loves it. Sarah appreciates an older sister who also had this problem and shared learning saves a lot of testing and trying...
The girls ended their stay with a nice bath at Grammies ...
whew !!! that was too long of a post ...
Bye bye for now ...
